adding some cheer to the drear...

some sewing time this week (after my taxes were done *insert happy dance*!!!)

6 16 patch "rail fences" were added to my stack...

and also a total of 14 9 patches, too. (all blocks made from 3" squares).

an equal amount of light and dark 9 patches. although this layout doesn't look too great with only the yellows, i can tell i'm going to really like this quilt as it moves further along...

go see all the other yellow sunshine blocks over at Angie's! also: follow me on instagram @ jlcap69.  (i post more frequently over there) and: i still have some red scraps i'd love to share! just give me a holler...

I really like those 9 patches with the dark and light centers! They will make a fun design as your collection of them grows. Also just went and followed you on Instagram, and will enjoy seeing what you post!

I'm looking forward to seeing all the nine-patches play when your quilt comes together. Yellow is pretty quiet on its own, but adds such a sweet spot of pizzazz when mixed with the rest of the colors!

You always have great ideas with simple blocks. The color plus black and white diagonals are going to make for some fun playtime!
