for me: true to form...

one thing that I've realized about myself for a long time: I work better under pressure. this month, and my monthly UFO goal of this bright scrappy trips has been no exception.  despite this quilt for my 2 youngest daughters being pin basted since November (!), it was quilted and bound with only about 27 hours to spare!

this scrappy trips pattern can, of course, be found for free on Bonnie Hunter's site. I'm thrilled with how it turned out- it's so bright and colorful! if you haven't made one of these scrappy trips yet, I'd recommend it- they're easy and fun!

I love the backing, too! I used my "free" coupon at my LQS, and  I'm loving how the circles on the back play with the squares on the front. although Daisy the donkey showed up for the photo shoot, she wasn't much in the mood, I guess. and Helga, the Icelandic sheep came along just for the heck of it, too. they don't usually stand so close to each other...

the fabrics in this quilt match the matching bed quilts I made for A and B a few years ago. the scrappy trips quilt is a nice snuggling size, and if they make their beds and display this quilt neatly on their rocker, the bedroom should look nice and neat and cozy.

ha!

Another winner for the scrappy quilt lover. I have this on my list to make after I finish a few more of my old UFOs. I have way too many to start new quilts, but it's hard not to want to. Did you put a white strip in the same position on each grouping to get that secondary design? I love it.

I hear you about the "folded neatly" look . . . in our dreams. Congrats on the finish - I've made one STAW and have another in the back of my head.

Beautiful Scrappy Trips! Congratulations on getting it done. That backing fabric is gorgeous, too.
