More good news!

I'm really happy how my RSC16 column-along is coming. the Kona solids make me pretty happy, too! BUT WAIT: there's MORE good news!

I borrowed an accuquilt die cutter from a friend, and a (different) friend and I cleaned out the cupboard at Scraps2Wraps of all the miscellaneous (and super-annoying) little bits of small and oddly shaped fabrics. I brought them home, and in just a little over 1 hour, was able to cut this 9½" tall stack of tumblers! I was very happy about that BUT WAIT: there's MORE good news!

last weekend, my son N and his wife P, announced that they're having a baby in November! how exciting is that? (has anyone else noticed that a mini chalkboard is mandatory these days to announce an engagement or new baby?) and in case you don't remember (which is understandable if you don't!) my daughter M and her husband K are expecting a baby as well in late October!

so what could be better (and happier!) news than having TWO GRANDBABIES at once? (the only sad part is that N & P live in Washington state (he's stationed at Fort Hood) and I won't get to kiss the little one as often as this grandma would like to...)

So much good news! Congratulations on both of the impending arrivals. Love the way your sampler quilt is coming along. It looks fabulous in solids. And the tumblers -- such a great way to tame the annoying little bits. What fun!

Congratulations Grandma! It's pretty much the best thing ever. And I love the column sampler. It looks so different with the darker background. Lovely!
