pickin' through the purples...

it's amazing how many different purples there are- light, dark, medium. bluey-purple, red-y purple... we probably don't realize it too much until we line them all up side by side.

I pieced 21 crumb blocks this week (only 16 of them are shown). I'm almost done with my purples for the month- just need to sew my column-along into the rows, and then I'm ready for the next color.

I think you have EVERY hue of purple in these blocks! Great way to use up all the bits and pieces!

This is going to be really scrappy; I love it! You're right about the different shades of purple - some nearly red, and some nearly blue, but that's what has made your blocks wonderfully dynamic.

Ditto from me. A great crumb block grouping. The accent pieces fit right in.

I sort of got stuck in the red-purple range this time around. Kudos on getting so many blocks made!

I really like your crumb blocks! I need to try that, too. I've noticed all the shades of purple, too - i've never sewn much with purple, so did not realize how different they could be!

You made very good use of all your purple scraps. Purple is one of my favorite colors to sew with. You've got some beautiful purples in your scraps.
