with just a little help from my furry friend...

fall is in the air, and the gardens are winding down, row by row. Dave has already started planting the cover crops, so I can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel! which is great- I'm whooped! there are a few moments here and there for sewing-

-and I've been glad to get up in the sewing room for some relaxing time with my furry friend, Millie. funny how cats are around the quilts; those blocks were only on the floor for mere SECONDS and she was on them...

black is my indigo, and I don't have much orange, so I 'm hoping to get caught up pretty soon. I have all my sawtooth stars done, but no connecter blocks. my other RSC15 projects are limping along as well- I hate falling behind, so I've really tried to keep up as best I can.

go look at all the other pretty blocks!

Those lovely star blocks are so fall like - specifically Hallowe'en. Millie must still be quite young. It takes my 17 year old cat a while to make it to the new blocks on the layout floor and start rearranging them for me. He occasionally has a good eye for placement.

Your stars look lovely. Good luck catching up with your other projects, but it's really not a race!

Very pretty oranges in those stars. Hope you can find some time to catch up. It seems I'm always behind on my RSC blocks.

Yummy-looking orange blocks - I'm glad Millie approves!

Millie is quite sophisticated...knowing to sit on a gray and white block...not on orange (only suitable for those dreaded marmalade cats).

September really is the first chance to stop and take a deep breath, eh? I remember those days well.
I hope you get some sewing time for yourself!

Millie certainly has good taste in colors. Your orange blocks are nice and warm. You are doing a good job of keeping up, glad you will have more sewing time soon.

The black and orange really scream Halloween. Hope you are all caught up by the time it cones around.

I wonder when someone will finally do a study on cats and their attraction to quilts and quilt blocks? Not that the results will be a huge benefit to mankind, but you never know!

Congratulations on keeping up as well as you have done. You have a full plate year round. Quilting is definitely your desert. :- ) [And you've earned it!]

Cute kitten. He just wants to be in the picture. Difficult to believe that this year is beginning to wind down.
